California is facing a $3.1 billion budget deficit for its public transit agencies through 2021. To ensure that the state can continue to sustain frequent, reliable service and protect the health and safety of both its transit riders and workers, it is imperative that Congress includes a combined $32 billion in federal transit funding as part of its upcoming stimulus package.
