2024 Honorees


Chip BerghChip Bergh
Executive Vice Chairman of the Board, Levi Strauss & Co

Chip Bergh is the executive vice chairman of the Levi Strauss & Co. board, having retired as president and CEO in January 2024. Over his 12-year leadership, LS&Co. saw a remarkable turnaround, reentering the public markets with a successful IPO in March 2019 and achieving sustained business performance. Its products are sold in over 110 countries through various retail channels, with 2023 net revenues reported at $6.2 billion.

Before joining LS&Co. in 2011, Chip spent 28 years at Procter & Gamble (P&G), where he managed iconic brands, led global teams, and spearheaded the launch of Swiffer and the turnaround of Old Spice. His last role at P&G was group president for global male grooming.

In July 2017, Chip became the non-executive chairman of the board of HP Inc. He has also served on the boards of VF Corporation, the Economic Development Board of Singapore, and the Levi Strauss Foundation. Named one of the World’s Greatest Leaders by Fortune in 2019, Chip is known for his advocacy on gun-violence prevention, climate change, and social justice.

Secretary of the California Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency

Tomiquia Moss was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom as the Secretary of the Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency in November 2023, and sworn in on February 14, 2024. She oversees 12 entities responsible for housing, homelessness, consumer protection, and civil rights in California.

With over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit and public sectors, Tomiquia is a leader in housing, homelessness, public policy, civil rights, and community development. In 2019, she founded All Home, an organization focused on addressing homelessness and poverty in the Bay Area. Under her leadership, All Home developed regional plans, implemented new programs, and secured policy changes and funding for housing and economic security initiatives.

Previously, Tomiquia was CEO of Hamilton Families and held leadership roles under the mayors of San Francisco and Oakland. She directed the HOPE SF Initiative and the San Francisco Community Justice Center. In 2022, she was appointed to the California Interagency Council on Homelessness and now co-chairs it as BCSH Secretary.

Tomiquia holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Golden Gate University and lives in Oakland with her family.


Scott WienerSenator Scott Wiener
District 11, California State Senate

Senator Scott Wiener represents San Francisco and northern San Mateo County in the California State Senate. Elected in 2016, Senator Wiener focuses extensively on housing, transportation, civil rights, criminal justice reform, clean energy, and alleviating poverty. He chairs the Senate Budget Committee and is Co-Chair of the California Legislative Jewish Caucus. He is a past Chair of the California Legislative LGBTQ Caucus and the Senate Housing Committee.

Before his election to the Senate, Senator Wiener served as a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, representing the district previously represented by Harvey Milk. He also chaired the San Francisco County Transportation Authority. Before taking public office, Senator Wiener practiced law for fifteen years, including nearly a decade as a Deputy City Attorney in the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office. He also served in a number of community leadership roles, including co-chair of the San Francisco LGBT Community Center and on the national Board of Directors of the Human Rights Campaign.

Senator Wiener has lived in San Francisco’s Castro neighborhood since 1997. He received degrees from Duke University and Harvard Law School and was a Fulbright Scholar in Santiago, Chile.
