The Women Who Built the Presidio Parkway and Tunnel Tops [In-Person Program]

From the project’s design conception in 1991 to its completion in 2022, women have led the charge to replace the seismically unsafe Doyle Drive and integrate the new Presidio Parkway into the landscape. Featuring the women who made it happen, this program will explore both individual contributions and the societal changes that occurred during the 32-year quest to complete the project. Join us for the chance to highlight some of the women responsible for designing, managing and contracting these public spaces, view the trailer for the upcoming documentary A Parkway for the People, and receive a copy of the book commemorating the Presidio Parkway development.
