With its myriad of higher education institutions, the East Bay is brimming with students. But at many schools, the development of campus-run housing has been outpaced by the growth of their student bodies, leaving tens of thousands of students with the necessity of finding an apartment in the country’s most punishing housing market. Come learn how Samuel Merritt, Mills College and UC Berkeley are tackling this problem, and how new ideas from local developers may help.
