SPUR Recommendations for the White House Conference on Food, Nutrition, Hunger, and Health

Advocacy Letter

For the first time in more than 50 years the White House is hosting a national conference on food, nutrition and health. One of the top priorities of SPUR’s Food & Agriculture program is to reduce the economic barriers to food access by making healthy food more affordable, which research has shown is one of the most powerful steps policymakers can take to reduce hunger. As such, SPUR provided recommendations on how to improve hunger and health based on successful pilots in the Bay Area and California at large.
