SPUR recently supported Senator Becker's Seamless Transit Transformation Act (SB 917). This bill would increase accountability for implementing the consensus Transit Transformation Action Plan, endorsed by MTC, transit operators, and many transit advocates. If passed, SB917 would ensure progress on regional fare integration, common transit mapping and wayfinding, and more coordinated schedules and service planning. SPUR recommended amendments to accelerate improved transit priority on our streets and highways, since getting buses out of traffic is essential for a more reliable and coordinated transit network.
