Good Government Awards Update

SPUR Remains Committed to Honoring Bay Area Public Employees During Shelter in Place

Across the Bay Area, communities are banding together to address the COVID-19 pandemic and support the movement for racial equity. SPUR is aware that public employees are often on the front lines of these efforts. For over 40 years, SPUR has recognized exceptional performance by public sector workers. We believe the work of these individuals is the foundation of good government. Though it is not currently safe to celebrate success together and in-person, SPUR remains dedicated to shining a light on those who serve our communities.

Due to public health restrictions, SPUR’s 2021 Good Government Awards events in San Francisco, San Jose and Oakland will be postponed until 2022. We are taking the year to re-envision how to best celebrate public employees in a safe, respectful and impactful way. Please continue to check this page for updates on our new approach to honoring city and county employees and celebrating good government.
