Join us at the SPUR Urban Center for an energizing evening of learning, connection, and action! We’ll kick things off with a presentation on the Family Zoning Plan, which is San Francisco’s bold new approach to creating denser neighborhoods, more housing affordability, and people-friendly places. Then, roll up your sleeves for a hands-on advocacy workshop where you’ll gain the tools and confidence to make your voice heard. In a workshop facilitated by Annie Fryman, our Director of Special Projects, you’ll practice giving an effective public comment, draft impactful emails to your supervisor and planning commissioners, learn strategies for organizing for positive change, and connect with other SPUR members and neighbors who share your vision for a thriving city.
We’ll have plenty of pizza and beer to keep the ideas flowing, and you’ll leave ready to take part in shaping the future of San Francisco. This is the perfect warm-up for the first public vote on the 11th of September when we’ll gather again at City Hall for a rally co-hosted by SPUR and featuring Mayor Lurie.
SPUR members get first dibs on registration during the first week—so grab your spot early!
