This event has been postponed from July 19th to August 10th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

What do personal stories reveal about the impact of urban policy on people's lives? We'll be screening a short documentary about middle-income housing and talking about the power of personal narratives in advocating for urban policy change. Through the eyes of Matt Allen, a San Francisco high school math teacher and basketball coach who has been squeezed out of the current housing market, we'll witness the transformative effect of policy change on lived experiences. Our screening is an ode to the beauty and resilience of the human spirit and a testament to the importance of storytelling in bringing about policy change. Following the screening, we'll have a conversation with the filmmakers, Matt, and housing policy representatives to discuss the role of storytelling in policy advocacy and the ways we can use personal narratives to drive change in our communities.
