Community organizations have crucial roles to play in advancing communities’ capacity to withstand, adapt to, and recover from disruption events. Their deep ties to the community and their community well-being programs help them accurately identify and address local needs during emergencies. When these organizations collaborate during emergencies (flooding, fires, earthquakes), community outcomes drastically improve. Join us for a discussion with Ana Miscolta, director of Community Resilience at Thrive, to learn about Thrive’s work in San Mateo County and about how you can support or initiate collaborative disaster preparedness and response in your local community.
