Join Seamless Bay Area, East Bay Transit Riders Union, Transport Oakland, SPUR, BikeEastBay, Streets for People, and East Bay YIMBY for a candidate forum. With the November election approaching rapidly, multiple BART Transit Board positions are up for for reelection, and who fills these positions can have massive impacts on safety, rider equity, and green transportation across the Bay Area. This forum will focus on the race for district 6, which has multiple candidates running. In districts 2, 4, and 8, incumbents are running unopposed. This forum will give each of the participating organizations, as well as members of the public, a chance to approach BART Board candidates with questions concerning their platform, experience, and anything else that will help to better inform voters come November.
