The Resiliency of San Francisco's Commercial Districts

Lunchtime Forum

Commercial corridor in San Francisco

Over the past decade, San Franciscans have watched as the city's commercial districts have reinvented themselves in response to their evolving neighborhoods, the changing retail landscape, an economic downturn and, during this year, COVID-19. What role have our neighborhood commercial districts played historically, and what role should they play in our lives in the future? How do we uplift the cultural and community functions of these essential components to our neighborhoods? Join our panel of planners, consultants and neighborhood advocates to explore the past, present and future of San Francisco’s neighborhood commercial districts.
