What is California Doing About Housing?

Evening Forum

This program was originally scheduled for June 19.

The California State Legislature was set to debate hundreds of housing bills before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. In the weeks since, the state’s budget situation has radically shifted, but the housing shortage, as well as widespread housing insecurity, still underlies many of the challenges faced by Californians. Fortunately, the Bay Area’s state legislators remain stalwart housing champions, so join them for a conversation about what they think can be accomplished in Sacramento this year. Co-presented by the San Francisco Housing Action Coalition and generously sponsored by Lighthouse Public Affairs.

+ Assemblymember David Chiu / California State Assembly
+ Senator Nancy Skinner / California State Senate
+ Senator Scott Wiener / California State Senate
