Food Is Medicine

Evening Forum

At food pharmacies and similar organizations that have launched in the Bay Area and across the country, doctors are writing prescriptions — and providing vouchers — for fresh foods to reduce hunger and support healthy eating. These interventions are part of a growing movement dubbed “food is medicine.” Hear from some of the leaders of this movement about what it means for the future of food security and the health-care industry.
