Defining San Jose’s Food Identity

Lunchtime Forum

What determines a city’s food identity? Is it what that city is best known for, like New York City and pizza or Philadelphia and cheesesteak? Or is it something richer and more complex, influenced by an amalgam of ethnicities and experiences? San Jose's food scene is multi-cultural and dispersed over a large region, but how does it all contribute to a unified food identify. Is there one? Hear from local food enthusiasts who are actively working to create a vibrant and inclusive food culture across the city’s 180 square miles.
