Reimagining Urban Villages & Main Streets in San Jose: Berryessa/BART Urban Village

Special Program

What will it take to develop a truly livable community on the Berryessa/BART urban village site? AARP defines a livable community as one that is safe and secure, has appropriate and affordable housing and transportation options, and includes needed services and desirable features. These places are designed with all residents in mind, from young children to older adults who want to remain in their community as they age, but livable communities can only be created when all stakeholders have a place at the table for their voice to be heard. Join community members, developers and city agencies for an AARP Livable Communities Charrette to share your thoughts on, address livability at and creatively develop a plan for, the Berryessa/BART urban village site. Presented by AARP.
