There are many ways to define the Bay Area, but the most traditional way is to list the nine counties that touch the San Francisco Bay. This definition may be easy to understand, but it cannot capture how we define the region through our patterns of living, working, playing and connecting. Put pen to paper with us for a workshop in crowd-mapping as we engage in an exercise to understand how we each define the Bay Area and our individual place as part of it.
