How Do We Respond to Urban Homeless Encampments?

On any given night, thousands of people sleep in the streets and parks of our major cities. A growing number are clustering together in tent encampments that can offer shelter and safety in numbers but that also pose extreme danger for their occupants and neighbors. How should our cities respond? Come hear homelessness policy leaders from San Jose, Oakland and San Francisco discuss one of our hardest urban and human challenges.

Refund Policy

Sponsorship payments will not be refunded, as sponsorship benefits take effect immediately and are on-going through the date of the event.

Individual ticket purchases If the refund is requested more than 2 business days and less than 10 business days prior to the event, a 25% refund can be issued upon request. Any requests for refunds received less than 2 days prior to an event cannot be accommodated.

Thank you for your support of SPUR and your understanding that costs accrue on a per-guest basis before an event takes place.

Auxiliary Services

If, in order to participate in a SPUR event, you need auxiliary aids or services for a disability (e.g., qualified interpreter, qualified reader, written materials, taped texts) please submit your request five business days before the event to [email protected] or 415-781-8726 x132. SPUR will work with you in identifying effective auxiliary aids or services that it can provide. If you need to cancel your request, please notify SPUR at least two business days before the event.
