Using Cap-and-Trade to Improve California’s Transportation

Cap-and-trade is at the core of California’s climate plan. It helps limit greenhouse gas emissions by setting a price on carbon, which then drives investment in cleaner technology, fuels and energy efficiency. Now, revenue from this program is being used to provide grants that will help modernize our bus, rail and ferry systems to reduce the state’s largest source of greenhouse gas emissions: transportation. Come learn about these landmark climate programs and what they mean for the Bay Area.
