With its parklets, plazas and interactive sidewalk installations, San Francisco is a leader in the tactical urbanism movement and continues to make strides in enabling innovative use of public space. Come hear about a number of projects that the city is undertaking — including the Planning Department’s Groundplay program and its landmark Places for People ordinance as well as the Stockton Street Winter Walk project—that set the standard for citizen-driven urban public spaces.
