The Bay Area's Second Transbay Rail Crossing

Lunchtime Forum

With the existing BART tube over 40 years old and regional growth that refuses to slow, Bay Area leaders have begun to seriously discuss the planning and design of a second transbay rail crossing. Though the East Bay already connects to San Francisco and the Peninsula through a variety of modes, an additional rail crossing may prove necessary if the Bay Area is to continue to be a global leader in connectivity and sustainability. Join panelists as they discuss the land use, political and technical decisions ahead.
