This program will take place in San Jose.

How a city lights up at night plays a major role in how active its nightlife is. How could downtown San Jose become more animated with a new plan focusing on special lighting projects? Join Kim Walesh, director of the Office of Economic Development for the City of San Jose, Barbara Goldstein, public art director for the City of San Jose, and Robin Nigh, director of Lights on Tampa, for a discussion of San Jose's Illuminating Downtown project — winner of a $600,000 grant from ArtPlace to light up the city's downtown using art and technology — and the successes, lessons learned and partnerships built from that highly successful project in Tampa Bay.
