Adrian brings more than 15 years of experience working in local government to SPUR, where he leads governance and economy policy initiatives to help create a more equitable, sustainable, and prosperous region. Prior to SPUR, Adrian supported cities and counties across the San Francisco Bay Area with homelessness policy planning, managed Santa Clara County’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program, and advised local government officials across the state and country as a management consultant and program performance auditor.
While born a Los Angeles native, Adrian has been a proud resident of San José for the past 14 years, with extensive involvement in the community. He served as the chair of San José’s Board of Fair Campaign and Political Practices, where he advocated for charter reform, particularly around electoral and ethics policies. These reforms were codified in Measure B and Measure I and approved by voters in 2022. Adrian also co-developed San José’s Civics Masterclass in partnership with the nonprofit Only in San José. In 2024, the San José Office of Racial Equity adopted the class as a free community program.
In his free time, Adrian serves as a Burning Man Project Regional Contact for the San Francisco South Bay, supporting artists in activating public spaces through intentional placemaking across the region.
