Savlan Hauser

Savlan is the Executive Director of the Jack London Improvement District, where she leads initiatives focused on beautification, safety, promotion, and long-term economic vitality for Oakland’s historic waterfront. She also serves as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Berkeley and as Chair of the Oakland BID Alliance. She is an urban planning and place-based economic development leader with over a decade of experience advancing vibrant, inclusive commercial districts across the East Bay. Her background spans urban design, land-use planning, sustainability, and large-scale specific plans, including major work in West Oakland and the Coliseum Area
