Deanna Van Buren

Deanna is an architect and social impact leader focused on restorative justice, equitable development, and community-centered design. She is the founding partner of Designing Justice Designing Spaces and a co-founder of BIG Oakland, and serves on the national board of Architects, Designers, and Planners for Social Responsibility. With over 16 years of experience, her work brings a justice- and equity-focused perspective to urban policy, community development, and the design of civic spaces.
