SPUR strongly supports SFMTA’s Transportation Recovery Plan. The plan elevates social equity and consistent evaluation and adjustment. SFMTA makes clear that bold action will be needed to minimize further unacceptable health, economic, and quality of life impacts. As congestion returns amidst severe transit and sidewalk capacity constraints, San Franciscans will require more efficient transit routes, more space for bikes and walking, more options to access to business corridors, and better curb management. SPUR supports bold action as the agency continues to temporarily repurpose street space as necessary to maintain public health and maximize safe mobility for the greatest number of residents.
