Environmental Justice in Coastal Land Use Planning

Lunchtime Forum

In many places around the state, certain communities have borne, and currently bear, a disproportionate burden from adjacent industrial land uses. In the future, these communities may be less resilient in the face of rising sea levels, partly due to a lack of resources. How should state agencies integrate environmental justice and social equity into permitting and land use planning decisions? Come hear about the progress of state agencies in developing environmental justice policies, as well as the work of their nonprofit partners. Co-presented by Women's Environmental Network and generously sponsored by Bank of the West.
