OakDOT on Track

Evening Forum

In 2016, Mayor Libby Schaaf established Oakland’s first Department of Transportation, creating a designated team to allocate and spend funds on bike lanes, public transit and more. Shortly afterward, the department’s strategic plan was released. Structured around four key pillars, it emphasizes equitable jobs and housing; holistic community safety; vibrant, sustainable infrastructure; and responsive, trustworthy government. Join us as we hear how the plan is progressing and what’s to come.
