Using Science Fiction to Imagine California’s Future

Evening Forum

California has become a nexus of the world’s imagination when it comes to technology, ecology and humanity. However, that imagination fails to capture the full scope, both natural and manmade, of the state. A new studio at UC Berkeley examines how the intersection of architecture and science fiction influences this imagination. Come learn how the audacious futures generated here have deep roots in California’s past and how imagination can help us plan for a better tomorrow.
