San José

Cultural Institutions as Drivers of Urbanism

Lunchtime Forum

Image by Sergio Ruiz for SPUR.

San Jose is home to a myriad of anchor arts and cultural institutions, many with long histories of working outside of their traditional venues. Today, as public spaces become more programmed, the line between the private and public activation of those spaces blurs. Come explore how local institutions are integrating their work into the greater urban fabric and helping to shape the future of downtown.
