The Future of Central SoMa

San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood (SoMa) has transcended its industrial past, becoming fertile ground in which hundreds of companies — technology startups and established firms alike — have taken root. But as these businesses continue to grow, their expansion is often impeded by the planning and building decisions of the past. These concerns may soon be forgotten, however, as the city moves to adopt the Central SoMa Plan, a bold new vision that will shape the neighborhood over the next 25 years. More than seven years in the making, the project drastically increases height limits in the plan area, enables the development of up to 40,000 jobs and 7,500 housing units and allows for new office development and conversions, creating much-needed supply in this tight submarket. Join us for a discussion around how the plan will come together and hear from some of the developers whose key sites will embody the future of Central SoMa.

Refund Policy

Individual ticket purchases. If you request a refund between 2 and 10 business days prior to the event, SPUR can issue a 25 percent refund. Requests for refunds received less than 2 days prior to an event cannot be accommodated.

Sponsorship payments will not be refunded, as sponsorship benefits take effect immediately and are on-going through the date of the event.
