Secondary units are a compact, flexible housing type that provide many kinds of benefits to individuals and families at many phases of life. Secondary units can be added nearly anywhere without having significant impact on a neighborhood's character or function, and many cities around the Bay Area are revisiting their regulations to allow and even encourage secondary units. Come learn about three places where these changes are already happening.
