Can I get academic credit?

Awarding academic credit for an internship is at the discretion of your college or university. We will assist you in providing the appropriate information needed for credit, but arrangements should be made before you begin your internship.

Is this a paid internship?

Internships at SPUR are unpaid. However interns will enjoy SPUR membership benefits, including free admission to all forums and tours, and a one-year subscription to SPUR’s monthly magazine, The Urbanist.

What are the work hours?

Interns generally work 10 to 20 hours a week during our office hours, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday though Friday.

What are the internship sessions?

Positions are filled on a rolling, as-needed basis. Please check this page regularly for openings.

Who is eligible for an internship?

If you are a student or graduate of any college, university or graduate school, you are eligible to apply for a SPUR internship.
