How can design effectively marry art and science? Architect, designer and writer Lance Hosey advocates for how and why aesthetics should be an integral component of sustainable design. Hosey, CEO of GreenBlue, a nonprofit that works to make products more sustainable, will discuss the importance of sustainable design at all scales, from products to buildings to communities. Attendees will receive a special preview of Hosey’s upcoming book, The Shape of Green: Aesthetics, Ecology and Design. Co-presented with Island Press.
