Placemaking 5M

Lunchtime Forum

Over the next ten years an underutilized, low-density four-acre site at the corner of 5th and Mission — the 5M Project — will be transformed into a galvanizing mix of low-, mid- and high-rise buildings designed to champion a complete medley of live, work and play opportunities. Join Alexa Arena, senior vice president at Forest City, Deborah Cullinan, executive director of Intersection for the Arts, Tim Nichols, head host at the Hub Bay Area, and Laura Crescimano, associate at Gensler, for a fascinating conversation the factors that are forming the physical shape of 5M, the balancing of tangible and intangible "place" and what it means to craft the culture and community of a space to become strikingly evident before one even enters the building.
