The San Francisco Planning Department, in collaboration with the Department of Public Works (DPW) and Friends of the Urban Forest, is creating a plan to expand the city’s urban forest. In conjunction with this plan, a Street Tree Financing Study was conducted this year to evaluate financing mechanisms to boost funding and reverse budget cuts.
