Bay Area communities face a myriad of daunting environmental challenges, including drought, floods, rising tides and polluted runoff. Cities are increasingly turning to green infrastructure — vegetation, soils and natural processes that manage water and create healthier urban environments — to create a patchwork of natural areas that provide habitat, flood protection, cleaner air and cleaner water. Come hear how Oakland and other Bay Area cities are planning for a greener future.
