What Causes Displacement?

Much of Oakland is currently at risk of, or undergoing, displacement of low-income households. While there are a number of presumed causes of displacement, from building new housing to growing new jobs to a lack of affordable housing development, there are very real policies that that can help slow or halt this worrying trend. Join us for a discussion about the drivers of displacement and the policies that might be put in place to combat it.
