An inspiring new landscape is taking shape at the Golden Gate. As an elevated freeway is replaced by an at-grade tunnel, ten acres of new public parkland will connect the beautiful waterfront and the heart of the Presidio. This powerful destination will be a place to enjoy panoramic views and iconic landmarks; to gather, play, and learn; and to launch your Presidio adventure.
James Corner Field Operations, the team behind the High Line in New York City, has been selected as the lead designer for this effort. Join us for this presentation and interactive workshop to hear about the project, the process, and to share your ideas. This is the first in a series of public workshops that will explore, and refine designs for the New Presidio Parklands over the coming months.
