Although much thought has been given to station locations for high-speed rail (HSR) in California, the same can’t be said about providing multi-faceted access to those stations. German and French cities, however, have been promoting local access to their stations through sustainable modes of transportation, transit integration and parking management. What lessons can we learn from these cities about promoting viable connections to our own HSR stations?
