This event will take place in San Jose.

Local jurisdictions will face many questions as they seek to rebuild in the months and years following a disaster. How should local governments balance the need to rebuild quickly with the need to create a deliberative process? How should we be thinking about planning for growth in areas of liquefaction and sea level rise? And how do local governments leverage the state and federal resources available for recovery to finance the enormous costs of rebuilding? A panel of experts will address these questions and outline a path to rebuild in a post-disaster city.

Co-presented by the City of San Jose.

+ Charles Eadie, Hamilton Swift and Associates
+ Laurel Prevetti, City of San Jose Department of Planning, Building and Code Enforcement
