Trash to Treasured

Tour

Join Deborah Munk, manager of Recology’s Environmental Learning Center and Artist in Residence Program, for a multifaceted tour of recycling and sustainability at the San Francisco Solid Waste Transfer and Recycling Center. Though the facility manages household hazardous waste and sorts out materials destined for the landfill, it also includes a little-known art studio where selected artists in residence turn one person’s trash into another’s treasured artwork.

This event is generously sponsored by Kaiser Permanente.
