Lunchtime Forum

The San Francisco Planning Department, in collaboration with the Department of Public Works (DPW) and Friends of the Urban Forest, is creating a plan to expand the city’s urban forest. In conjunction with this plan, a Street Tree Financing Study was conducted this year to evaluate financing mechanisms to boost funding and reverse budget cuts. Join Jon Swae of the Planning Department, Carla Short, the city’s urban forester with DPW, Sarah Heard, sustainable economist at AECOM, and Dan Flanagan, executive director of Friends of the Urban Forest, for a discussion of how San Francisco should proceed to reverse the decline of urban trees.
