Urban Menagerie: Raising Animals in a City

Have you had the urge to raise your own animals? Bring your bike and join Esperanza Pallana of Pluck and Feather and Kitty Sharkey of Havenscourt Homestead to visit two Oakland homes and see how everyday people raise goats, rabbits, chickens and more in their own backyards. Learn about the practicality and legality of raising animals in cities, and get tips on feed, shelter and slaughter. Light snack included. Co-presented with 18 Reasons and Kitchen Table Talks.
