6:00 p.m.
Discover 601 Dolores — the castle on the park — in the heart of San Francisco’s Mission district. This 17,000 square-foot luxury home, once a church, draws in visitors with a breathtaking ground floor and soaring, hand-painted coffered ceilings. The tower reveals incredible 360-degree views of the city with stained-glass windows framing Dolores Park.
Dine on cuisine from chefs creating culinary buzz with their pop-up restaurants: The Reform Club, Stag Dining Group and Rice, Paper, Scissors. These groups have culinary pedigrees from some of the best restaurants in San Francisco: Incanto, Serpentine, Alembic and Slanted Door.
Last year's event was a spectacular evening of great food, music and fun. We hope you'll join us!

The pop-up restaurant began as a way for chefs to have culinary creative license outside of their regular restaurants. Now it's an essential part of San Francisco's dining scene. SPUR is excited to present three trailblazing groups from this movement who will be cooking for Dine + Discover 2012: Stag Dining Group, Reform Club and Rice, Paper, Scissors.
Stag Dining Group
Made up of five founding members, Stag Dining Group aims to provide a sophisticated but not stuffy dining experience that incorporates their passion for creativity, sustainability, eclecticism and joie de vivre. The group's chefs include Ted Fleury and Jordan Grosser. Ted has extensive experience in kitchens up the California coast, including Michael Mina’s Aqua at the St. Regis in Monarch Beach and La Suite Brasserie in San Francisco. Currently he is the executive chef at Alembic. Jordan’s prowess in the kitchen has led him to Azie in San Francisco to Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio, where he quickly moved into the esteemed role of chef de cuisine. Jordan joined Ted as co-executive chef at Alembic, and both are consultants for Kimpton Restaurants.
Reform Club
Reform Club is a pop-up restaurant brought to you by a talented group of friends who, over their years working in restaurants, have come to master all things food and drink related. They offer a weekly four-course menu at Speccio (the restaurant doesn’t offer regular service on this night) that creates cohesion between culinary nationalities. They balance European technique and pace with Californian ingredients and creativity. Their wine and cocktail list features libations chosen for their timelessness and pedigree.
Rice, Paper, Scissors
Rice Paper Scissors was created by Valerie Luu and Katie Kwan, two Vietnamese street-food vendors in San Francisco who love sitting on small stools. Inspired by the sidewalk dining and street food they experienced in Vietnam, they wanted to recreate the experience in the Mission — complete with small tables, even smaller stools, fresh Vietnamese condiments, Cambodian pop music and a rotating menu of Vietnamese comfort foods. Their cafe pops up on front porches, garages and sidewalks. When they're not figuring out what kitschy Asian housewares to buy, you can find them at various street-food events and every Thursday at Mojo Bicycle Cafe.
