SPUR appreciates the work staff and committee members have done to propose choices which would enable VTA to balance is budget in the immediate years, and offers comments on rationale, service reductions, operating costs and fares. SPUR urges the committee to address four critical questions going forward: the agency's business model; the plans for network expansion and infrastructure; partnerships with other agencies; and revenue measures that align with a sound long-term strategy for VTA.
