Maria is the Director of Business Development and Strategic Initiatives for Comcast, where she focuses on evolving Comcast's position as the preferred technology, entertainment and innovation partner for developers, municipalities and strategic business partners throughout California. Maria was also the lead of the Unidos ERG (Hispanic Employee Resource Group) for two years, where she managed a board of 10 members and spearheaded the launch of the group with CA Secretary of State Alex Padilla before an audience of 250 members. Prior to joining Comcast, Maria spent 20 years at HBO and also did consulting and non-profit work with Taproot and the Alzheimer’s Association Northern California Chapter. Maria was born and raised in San Mateo, California. She is a first generation Mexican American, her family roots are from Jalisco, Mexico, the Tequila Region. Maria earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Behavior and Leadership at the University of San Francisco, San Francisco, CA.
