Sarah Sykes serves as SPUR’s Capital Campaign Manager and works closely with SPUR President Jim Chappell and Urban Center Director Diane Filippi toward the completion of the new Urban Center. Sarah’s background is in non-profit development; she has worked previously for the California Preservation Foundation and the West Alameda Business Association, a National Trust Main Street Program. She is a graduate of San Francisco State University, with a special major entitled Art and Architecture Design Perspectives, focusing on art and architectural history. Sarah was born and spent her first years in England, enjoyed her formative years growing up in Southern California, and has recently returned to the Bay Area after three years living abroad in Strasbourg, France.
