Managing the effects of climate change in the Bay Area

In 2009, SPUR began work on an in-depth study on how to adapt to the inevitable effects of a hotter planet. How we cope with reduced snow-pack in the Sierras, rising sea levels on the edges of the Bay, and changing weather patterns will affect everything about planning in our region. The time to begin preparing is now.

This initiative is generously supported by grants from the Urban Land Institute and San Francisco Foundation.
