Strategies for Urban Change: a Global Overview

Members of the SPUR Urban Leaders Forum joined us for an exclusive reception with chairman of the Urban Age Institute and consultant to global cities, Tim Campbell. Having worked for more than 35 years in urban development, Tim has developed expertise in strategic urban planning, decentralization, urban policy, and the social and poverty impacts of urban development. Tim's research has shown that innovative cities show a pattern of long term commitment to acquiring outside knowledge and best practices.  Many cities around the globe are on the prowl for best practice and new knowledge. Tim focused on the question: "What do cities seek to learn, and how do reformers differ from the rest?"
